Every baby step that I take is a confidence builder. After a successful first audition, I left feeling an amazing excitement that this can happen, and can happen in a big way. I could hear the numerous people audition in front of me, and I feel that I was as strong as them, and more importantly, if you assume that our skills were on par, I feel that I get the edge due to presence and appearance. One of the actors saw my headshots while I was unpacking my schoolbag, and told me that “you should think about modeling”, to which I responded, “thanks, I already do it, good luck”. I tried to network as much as possible in the short time I was there, and pick up as many pointers as I could. More importantly, I didn’t feel any nervousness or hesitation in front of the camera, and think I delivered a very solid “read”.

I have another audition for a reality show in NYC tomorrow called Love Taxi, and they describe it as Love Connection meets Taxi Cab Confessions. They are looking for extremely attractive men with charm and wit to be able to “pick up” women within two minutes of meeting them. I have always been strong at getting women’s phone numbers or getting a date quickly, so I anticipate that I will have a strong showing tomorrow. The only concern that I have is that I have been very passive in trying to date women over the last few months, and may be a bit rusty, so I may practice tonight on girls who are 6’s and 7’s and not in my league to get back “into the groove”. I hate setting up false expectations for girls I will never call again, but I want to make sure I give myself a solid chance at success with this opportunity. I am not a big reality show person, but it could be a great opportunity to continue to get on-camera experience and exposure.

I also spoke to Michelle Miller at Emoda.com, who said that my catalog pictures are up on their site under “Men” and “What’s Hot”, and that they will be finishing up look book photos by next week. I am hoping the look book photos are strong so that I can add them to my portfolio for open calls next week, and that some of the images will appear in the new Emoda magazine issue in April. I believe she said it would go out to over a million people.
