I have always looked at “The Journey” as a marathon rather than a sprint, but the amazing pace that it has had has made me really believe that I am destined for greatness. I always knew that my talent level and looks would propel me at a very high rate, and as I have inspired people around the world to follow my dream, I have worked harder than they can imagine to make them believe that Arthur Kade is someone they will be telling their children and grandchildren about for generations. I want them to say, “We saw him achieve the highest level of his craft faster and better than anyone else”. Tonight, I realized that “The Journey” is now at a new level, where celebrities are coming up to me and wanting to meet me, and understanding that I may be one of the biggest stars in the world soon.
When I walked in to the ultra-exclusive, invitation only, Philly Style Party at the new Barney’s in Rittenhouse Square (All Philly “A Listers”), I was greeted by so many people who wanted my attention to either congratulate me or talk to me. I then felt a hand on my shoulder, and realized it was Steve Ward, the host of “Tough Love” on VH1. He has made a cool name for himself, and is a rising star as well, so he came over and asked me for my autograph. He told me, “My mom loves you and she thinks you’re the best” (She left a voicemail for me), and “My dad reads your blog every day”, and kept telling me how much of a fan he was as well, and called me a “Genius”. Even my dad was blown away at my popularity, and I could see the pride shining in his eyes the whole night.
At first, I blew Steve off (I thought I was being “Punked”), and he said “I’m going to tell everyone I got snubbed by Arthur Kade”, but then I realized he might be for real, and we talked for a few minutes, took pictures, and I gave him my autograph. I am getting to a level now where celebrities want to be part of “The Journey”, because they realize that I am an amazing rising talent, and as this continues to happen, I need to be more gracious and understanding that this is my life, and now it is at the next level. This one took me by surprise because it was around a busy, high level crowd, but he ended up being cool, and we talked later at Rouge where he told me “You need to get better at Twitter, I guarantee you will have more followers than Ashton Kutcher”. Autographs are a part of the game, and I want my fans to feel appreciated, and know that I remember where I came from.
I had so many people stopping me and talking about me that it was crazy, and I even had a fan stop me and ask to take a picture saying “I’m a huge fan, I saw you on Gossip Girl”. Sometimes it’s hard getting pulled in so many directions, because people want my attention and it’s hard to make everyone happy, but this is the price that I will pay as I move up the acting ladder to leading man roles.
