I’ve never really thought about the amazing benefits that come with becoming a growing name in “The Biz”. I have always been a social institution in Philly, and would always get taken care of in clubs and restaurants with service, reservations, and drinks, but now I am getting to a point where I am being treated like a star when I go out or want services. Celebrities rarely pay for anything, because businesses just want the publicity of them coming or using them so they will give them stuff for free or pay them for showing up. I am constantly being contacted about endorsements and celebrity appearances, but so far I have been extremely picky about moving forward because I am spending all of my time focusing on “The Journey”, and becoming a master of the acting craft.
A local large business wants to meet with me to help endorse them because people thought I got services there, and started blowing up their website, and they want to work out a deal which will be very beneficial for both of us. People know I only do the best, and I guess when they think I am using something, they want to jump on board, and what will happen is businesses will want to give me free services and money in exchange for the publicity of having me there. I can’t tell you how cool it is, because I hate paying for stuff, and I now have the ability to use my name and face in exchange for products, services and money for “The Journey”. I think corporations recognize the level of talent and presence I bring to the table, and want to be associated because if I am doing it, then others will do it too.
I have always imagined what it would be like to be an A-List celebrity, and as “The Journey” continues and I become mainstream, I need to think about what products I would want to represent with the Kade image. I always think that I would want to endorse products that I only use or believe in. I think about the scene in “Rocky 2″ where Rocky is filming a commercial for a product he doesn’t like and hates it and that shows integrity to me which is what I want my brand to stand for. I believe in maintaining my image at the top level (Cartier, Rolls Royce, Armani, etc.), so it is important to begin to choose where and what I do, because as more businesses and corporations come calling, I need to know what my mission statement is and how I want to be perceived. It’s funny, because I had a fan tell me I am a “Cult Figure” today, and I actually took this as a bit of an insult, because it minimizes what I have accomplished so far, and how big my name is getting around the world..
In the meantime, I have decided to give up biting my nails for my birthday, cold turkey. It is a bad nervous habit, and many girls have commented on how disgusting and unattractive it is. I am stopping tonight, and will begin to grow my nails out because I have beautiful thin hands and long fingers and it ruins them. My dad once said about my hands, “They don’t look like they have worked a day in their life, like royalty, it’s a shame you make them so ugly by biting your nails.”
Here are some pictures of my nails and my hands, and I will update in 2 weeks:
