I stayed at The Chelsea last year the first weekend it was open, and I was a bit disappointed. It was amazing weather, I was with some of the most important people from Philly’s “scene”, and although I loved the set-up of the pool and hotel, the overall experience was disappointing. I know when a place first opens, it takes a little time to work out the kinks, and I hadn’t been there since the end of last summer, and I had various people tell over the last two weeks that it would be different this summer and that the kinks were out. After last night, I have to fully agree with that statement, because the experience was amazing, the party that I went to was very good, and the crowd was up to the standards I like (Some girls from America’s Next Top Models, although I wasn’t impressed).
The scene on the fifth floor was hot, and there were some 9′s running around the place, although it seemed like a bunch of them were with guys (If I put my mind to it, it wouldn’t really matter, but I don’t feel like ruining anyone’s holiday weekend), the staff and bartenders (one of them was a VERY hot 9.3, and super friendly, I may come over earlier next time to talk to her) were hot as well. I had people coming up to me all night to meet me with one person telling me that “You are intimidating, you’re like the next Tucker Max”, and another person telling me “You are the most famous person here”. I hate comparisons to people who are on totally different career tracks then me; I am an up and coming actor, and Tucker Max just writes about sexual experiences. Sometimes I just want to relax, and forget all the eyes and stares at me while I’m out because of how big I am getting, and one guy actually asked me, “Is this a paid appearance?” and I responded “What are you talking about?” because I was in “off” mode where I just wanted to be Arthur Kade with his friends, and not a celebrity.
I did not see J.Tim there, because I would have been brought over to meet him, but I was pulled in so many directions to meet different people that it didn’t matter. So many people are becoming fans of “The Journey”, and it’s hard to give them attention, but also chill with my friends at the same time. I may need to think about hiring a publicist soon to handle this stuff. I did see some guy holding his girlfriend back who wanted to talk to me, and I heard him saying, “Not now, Not Now” to her. I wonder if she wanted to meet me or just say something? Overall, the night was a great start to the weekend, and I’m sure tonight will be crazy, again.
