Last night, was the VIP opening of the most amazing new club in Atlantic City, called Dusk, and of course I was invited and came. As I had mentioned, I was working as a “Special Correspondent ” for Down By the Hipster, so I had to also put my journalistic hat on, and look at everything from a writer’s eyes, as well as from a socialite’s. I will say that I knew that the opening was going to be crazy because being me, I have crazy connections everywhere, and they were telling me, “It’s gonna be insane”, so I was curious to see how the treatment would be, and how the club would look (A friend actually had been there, and told me it left him “Speechless”), so I was ready to kill it “Kade Style”.
After a quick pregame at The Chelsea, where the fan I had selected who turned out to be a 7, where I thought she was an 8-9 on pictures she sent me (I debated sending her home, but she was so nice and got along with my girls) came and met me and my entourage, we grabbed drinks, and headed over. I asked her to write a post that I will publish if she does it, about “The Arthur Kade Experience”, but I could tell the whole night she was mesmerized at the star power and pull I have, and I am sure that she has probably never experienced hanging with a celebrity of my caliber. I remember growing up, I would wonder what it’s like to hang with a George Clooney or Frank Sinatra, and to see the look in her eyes as she watched me work the room with girls and socialites, made me feel that through someone else.
When we got to the entrance of the club, I was introduced to the GM, Kevin, who couldn’t have been nicer and more professional, and we were escorted in as a group. I shook his hand, and he was super cool, and told me “Anything you need, you let me know”, and then gave me his card, and I appreciated this treatment because people understand that I have become one of the most powerful opinions in nightlife and trends in the country, and people like him make the experience of being a rising celebrity more fun, and he also checked on our group several times during the night. Most clubs come and go, but good management makes them roll, and I am happy that he went out of his way to treat me and my group like VIP’s.
Dusk is an ultra unique, hot-ass concept, by DJ AM, that was so cool looking, and comfortable that I thought it was super far ahead of other clubs around. It has a stadium, round feel, with stripper poles, an awesome VIP get-away downstairs, and an awesome bar set up, and I actually told one of my friends, “This place is designed perfectly, easy access to everything, plenty of bar room, tons of room for bottle service for VIP’s like us, and a great dance floor”. We were treated like royalty all night, and I had fans and admirers approaching me the whole night, and telling me how much they loved me, and followed “The Journey” including the lead celebrity writer for the Philadelphia Daily News, Dan Gross ( I thought he was going to go nuts when meeting me, he was so excited), who actually brought his wife over and asked me to take a picture with her because she was a fan. I talked to mostly 9′s and up the whole night, and the crowd that they brought was “A List” with more power, looks, and money than you can imagine, it actually felt like NYC, so I felt at home. The music was amazing, and they actually had Good Charlotte give a live performance for us before they closed (I love that group, they rocked the house), although I should have probably had them introduce us.
Overall, I would say it is one of the nicest, hottest, looking clubs I have seen outside of Vegas, and the treatment was an A+ by the management and staff. I think they should be every proud of what they built, and I can’t wait to dominate there for a while. We finished the night by closing The Chelsea, where I was stationed at a table with all the girls I brought over, and the whole crowd moved there, and we killed it as only we can.
Top Ten Quotes and Moments of the Night:
1) Some fat 5 asked me to give her a “Kade Out” near the bathroom, and I was so irritated because I needed to pee, and she had no right to talk to me anyway.
2) A guy stopped me at Dusk and said “I just wanted to tell you I am a huge fan. 70% of my bank reads your blog”. I asked him where he worked and he said Merrill Lynch, and I joked back, “I guess I know now why we are in a recession”.
3) A 6 came up to me at The Chelsea and said “You aren’t really who you portray on the Internet?”, and I responded “Why are you talking to me?”, and blew her off. I guess I answered that question.
4) A slightly overweight 6, with bad hair, came up to me and said ‘We’re not 6′s, 7′s or 8′s, so i guess we can’t hang out with you”, and I responded “Your Bad”, and kept walking.
5) Dan Gross (Philadelphia Daily News) asked me to rate his wife, and then got scared when she asked me not to, although I rated other girls there for them.
6) A fan stopped me going to the bathroom, and said “What do you think of this place (Dusk), is it Kade Style?”
7) 3 Girls would not take their picture with me because they were afraid to get ridiculed on the Blog. Losers
I ran into a girl who was a super sexy 9 ( I randomly got her number In South Beach in February), and I found out she was coincidentally the sister of a friend from Philly who she was there with. The world is way too small.
9) People drove by outside of Caesars, and screamed out of the car, “Kade!!!”.
10) A group of 5′s and 6′s recognized me, at The Chelsea and kept pointing, galking, and talking. It must suck to be a nobody.
