The coolest young fashion show in Philly is upon us, and it looks like it is going to be an amazing show. I try not to do too much runway anymore because I don’t want to be characterized as a “Model”, versus an “Actor”, but since this is for charity, I thought it would be great to participate. I did the last show, and rocked the crowd because it erupted when I came out, and people told me you would have thought it was Brad Pitt or Tom Hanks on the runway because of the attention and cameras that were going off like crazy. The last show was great, and the “Who’s Who” of Philly were all there to come support me and a great cause. There will also be a ton of local media, and many people have told me that people are coming to see me rock the runway, Kade-Style, at Public House on Thursday at 7PM.

There will be many local several celebrities featured in the show, but in the Philadelphia Daily News and Philly.com, Dan Gross, probably the biggest celebrity gossip writer in the city, centered it around “Arthur Kade in Fashion Show Thursday”. I don’t want this one to necessarily be about me, but rather about the charity that I am supporting, but I guess he felt like I was the story to be written, but I thought that it would be important to let my fans see that I am giving back, and I want to be philanthropic with my rising fame. I love his column because he glamorizes what is going on in Philly, and he wants to showcase the many stars and celebrities that are here and are up and coming like me, and it’s cool to be written about by him. I would not be surprised to see even more media than normal there because of the story “The Journey” has become.

I have thought many times about what charities I would want to align with, once I get to the top, and what type of example I would be as a star, and I want my fans to see that I want to make a difference and change the world using my example. In the last show, I helped the organizers with the setting up and direction of the show, and was able to use my past experiences on the runway to help enhance the fan’s experience and show many of the models who had never done it before what to do. Sometimes, I feel like an elder statesman out there because I was in the trenches of that world for so long, but just like in sports, a team is nothing without it’s veterans leading the way. My hair was straightened last time, so it will be interesting to see what direction the stylists take this time, but I want it to look ultra hip and sexy.

Proceeds from this event will go to The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. Donations are kindly requested and will be accepted at the door.
