My first trip to Kade Angeles was more amazing on every front than I ever imagined it could be. I made INCREDIBLE connections in “The Biz”, partied at the hottest clubs, and found out how large The Brand is out here, and the only thing missing was getting a role or job that could catapult my career to the next level. Well, what you find out being here is that everyone knows each other, and everyone knows Arthur Kade, and the trip ended with a bang. As I had mentioned, I had a project that I had to work on yesterday, and actually rescheduled my flight to stay an extra day (although all my new friends were begging me to just stay and not go back, and I said to everyone, “I will be here full time shortly, I am too big for Philly, and NY isn’t where the action for movies and TV is”).
The peeps at The CN referred me to a production company that was working with a premier front line cable network (Can’t release because of confidentiality but it’s big) on a “Docu-Style project focusing on up and coming artists in Hollywood, and what they are doing to make it” which will air in early 2010, and obviously with the unprecedented splash I have made here, they wanted to feature me in a segment. I taped all day yesterday, and as always I gave them a show of talent and abilities that they have probably never seen before, and I think the segment will be amazing. When I was driving home from the shoot, all I could think about was how much I have accomplished already, and how much closer I am to “The Dream”, after 5 days of domination here. I know how much work is left to go, but I took the next step of “The Journey”, and like one of the comedians said at Vanguard, “You have done in 4 months than what people dream to do in 20 years here”.
After the shooting of the project, I met up with my new BFF here, Kent Osborne and his friends at a house in Silver Lake (The sickest view of LA with a speakeasy and a fabulous courtyard), and we had a chill and “real” time just playing ping pong and talking. I get used to dealing with such fake people here in “The Biz” that it was nice to disconnect with some old fashioned chillness. I needed to decompress after the “Kade Style” way I have begun to take over this city, and Kent told me again, “I was just talking about that I am star struck”, when I walked back out from being inside. The people were so fascinated by me and “The Journey”, and we just talked about my next steps and me already being famous. There was a girl there who was a 7.8 (Gorgeous eyes and unusual face, cute little body and super intense personality, a little too organic for my taste and needed a better upper lip, but with a Kade make-over could easily be an 8.3-8.5).
I’m jumping on a plane in a few hours to head home, and spend the 4th down the shore, but this first trip couldn’t have gone better, and took me to a new level of motivation that THIS will happen at a record pace, and the world is watching it, and living it with me. Sometimes the enormity of “The Journey” freaks me out, but I take a step back and realize that I was put here by God to redefine the way the world works.
Kent wanted me to put this picture up of when he met Rebecca in 1997 to prove they were friends, and additional proof that he brought over while I was there on the video and a picture of me with Omar Epps:
