Mariel Zagunis and Tim Morehouse are the faces of American Fencing. Zagunis is the best female fencer in the world, having captured 2 straight Gold Medals in the last two Olympics, and heavily favored for a Gold in London this time around while becoming the most marketable brand in American Female Fencing history, while Morehouse captured a Silver in Beijing, and is a two-time individual U.S. National Champion (’10 and ’11), 7-time world cup medalist and #1-ranked U.S. men’s saber fencer from 2008-2011. The Chicago Tribune just called Zagunis “The Greatest Olympic Athlete You’ve Probably Never Heard”, while Morehouse has been featured on the Today Show, Access Hollywood, Good Day New York, MSNBC and Bloomberg News and in Esquire magazine, Vanity Fair, USA Today and the Sports Business Journal, and has become an accomplished author with his bestselling book “American Fencer”. In 2009, Morehouse even taught President Obama to fence on the White House Lawn. These two have helped elevate the popularity of a sport that is not mainstream while becoming the best at what they do and representing America proudly.
Here “The King Of Kamelot” goes into the lion’s den with the two faces of American Fencing, Mariel Zagunis and Tim Morehouse in NYC at Tim’s event for his foundation, the Fencing-in-the-Schools foundation – a non-profit program dedicated to bringing the sport of fencing to under-served communities throughout the country which is also the only televised Fencing event in the country serving as a tune up for some of the world’s best fencers this year for the London Olympics! Enjoy Kade Nation!
