One of the biggest and most fun shows on TV right now is NBC’s “The Voice”, and who can forget the magnificent voice of it’s inaugural winner, Javier Colon, who went from the brink of giving up his musical career to overnight musical sensation, and who had millions of people around America, and most of Hollywood, tweeting, Facebooking, texting, and whatever else “Team Javier!! sending him to a $100,000 grand prize and a recording deal with Universal Republic. His story is truly amazing, because to top off this true “Hollywood Ending”, Javier is married with kids, and despite one of the sweetest voices you will ever hear, the business had never yielded him his break, and he was looking for “Real” jobs so that he could put food on the table and pay bills. Javier had been a label signed artist throughout various periods over the last decade working with artists like Joss Stone, Darius Rucker, Indigo Girls, Stevie Nicks, Adam Levine, and Anthony Hamilton, and recorded an EP on his own label, Javier Colon Music, but he was never able to turn it into a full blown career, and then “The Voice” happened where he was only one of two auditioners to have all four judges select him, with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton giving him a standing ovation for his rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s classic “Time After Time”. From there it all snowballed for Javier with receiving the highest points total on “Team Adam”, appearances on Late Night Talk Shows like Jay Leno, singing with legends like Stevie Nicks, and finally winning “The Voice” in front of 17 million people..Now he has turned his beautiful voice into in his words a “Career”, and his debut album with his new label “Come Through With Me” has achieved critical praise and outstanding sales..Hollywood Story indeed!!
