This should sum it up about Marcus Schossow when Tiesto (Who many consider to be the top DJ in the world) called him “one of the hottest upcoming talents in the world”.  He is at the young age of 25 years old, already considered to be one of the top DJ’s in the world (He entered the DJ Magazine Top 100 which is the bible for DJ’s in 2008, and has been there ever since, and this list is voted upon by millions around the world and is the only official ranking system of the top DJ’s around the world joining artists like Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, David Guetta, Fat Boy Slim, Above and Beyond, Boy George, Kaskade, just to name a few!!), was voted as the number #1 most popular Nordic DJ in 2008, after only two years of making music, hosts the fastest growing DJ show on XM/Sirius called “Tone Diary” (Which showcases his ultra innovative sound called “The Schossow Sound”), and has booked the largest gigs in the world including: Miami’s Famed Ultra Festival, Trance Energy, Dance Valley, Godskitchen, Monster Massive, Together As One, Ministry Of Sound, Sunrise Festival, Escape Into the Park, Zurich’s Street Parade (Playing for 1,3 Million people) and the Colours Festival!  He also just played in front of 90,000 people at a sold out concert in LA (Together As One) and in 2009, Marcus became the first Swedish DJ to win the title of Most Popular Russian DJ of 2008 from Megamin’s annual poll since 2004’s winner Airbase. He is the biggest climber in the poll’s history, as well as the only Swedish DJ in the top 5!!

He is such a phenomenon in the DJ/Producer world that his work with fellow producer Thomas Sagstad has seen Tiesto (Who is such a fan that he featured Marcus’ hit track “Chase My Rabbit” on his hit mix compilation “In Search Of Sunrise 6”), Axwell and Steve Lawler snapping up tracks like Hypnotizer and Crepusculo. World-renowned Dutch outfit Spinnin have given Schossow their full backing, making him their youngest signing to date. At only 25, Schossow is a serious force to be reckoned with. Further support comes from the A list including David Guetta, Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Above and Beyond, Steve Angello, John Digweed and Ferry Corsten, underlining Marcus’ increasing influence in the world of dance, and DJ Magazine actually called him “A Phenomenon”.  Marcus will break into the top 10 very very shortly at the rate he’s going and is already a MONSTER!!

Here he sits down with “The King Of Kamelot” before his sold out show for Art Of Electronica at The Chelsea Hotel to discuss what it’s like to be such a mega name in the DJ World at only 25, his favorite place to play, what it’s like to work with the likes of Tiesto and Above and Beyond, and what he’s working on next!!
