It’s a pretty awesome day when you get to sit down, hang out with backstage, and interview some of the biggest names in Mainstream music over the last decade!! One of the bands is arguably the most commercially successful band of the decade, 3 Doors Down, with their last 5 albums opening Top 5 on Billboard (3 actually hit #1!!) and all reaching multi-platinum status, and having been nominated for every music award known to man, another band, Creed, who has sold 35 million albums (In just 3 released albums, and they have been nominated for 3 Grammys, winning 1 for “With Arms Wide Open”), and their album “Human Clay” was one of the few Rock albums ever certified “Diamond” (12x Platinum!!), and the hottest young rock band in America right now, Theory Of A Deadman, who’s last album just sat at #2 on the Billboard rock charts, and have a total of 6 top 10 hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including two #1 hits, “Bad Girlfriend” and “Lowlife”, and who’s lead singer, Tyler Connelly, is being called “The New Face of Alternative Rock”.  And let’s not forget that we also sat down with another super hot band right now, Adelitas Way, who have a #1 hit on the rock charts with “Sick” right now, and also Black Stone Cherry, who’s last 2 albums have both charted on Billboard at top 30…Enjoy Kade Nation!!

1) Chris Henderson (3 Doors Down): He is the guitarist for arguably the “Band Of The Decade”, selling 20 million albums, and each of their last 5 albums all reaching multi-platinum status and opening Top 5 on the Billboard charts with 3 hitting #1.  They have one of the largest and most loyal fan bases around the world, and they have 2 of the biggest songs of the decade in “Kryptonite” and “Here Without You”, and won American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, etc.., and consistently sell out large arenas as one of the hardest working touring bands in the world.  Their newest album, “Time Of My Life”, is killing it having reached #1 on the Billboard Rock charts, and #3 on the Billboard 200, and they are poised to rule the next decade just like they have dominated this one..

2) Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge): He is the Grammy winning, 3x time winner of Guitar World’s “Guitarist Of The Year” considered by many to be one of the top guitarist/songwriters in the world, having helped one of the biggest commercial bands of the last 15 years, Creed, rise to prominence, with the band having released three consecutive multi-platinum albums, one of which has been certified diamond, and has sold over 28 million records in the United States, with an estimated 35 million records worldwide. Creed is often recognized as one of the prominent acts of the post-grunge movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s and is one of the most commercially successful rock bands of all time, with vocalist Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti collectively having been noted as one of the most prolific songwriting teams in the history of rock music. Billboard even ranked Creed as the 18th best artist of the 2000s. They have been nominated for 3 Grammy’s winning 1 for “With Arms Wide Open”, but Tremonti is also part of the super successful group “Alter Bridge”, who’s last album AB III is in the running for “Rock Album Of The Year”, receiving critical acclaim and being called “one of the best rock albums of the last 5 years”, and features various members of Creed except Stapp, as well as a solo project aptly named “Tremonti”, although Creed will reunite for a new album and tour in 2012..

3) Tyler Connelly (Theory Of A Deadman): He is the charismatic lead singer/lead guitarist for perhaps the hottest young Multi-Platinum band in Rock, having a total of 6 top 10 hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including two #1 hits, “Bad Girlfriend” and “Lowlife” (Off their new album), and their new album, The Truth Is.., released in July, hit #2 on the Billboard Rock charts, and #8 on the Billboard 200, solidifying them as one of the hottest commercial bands in the business, and they are the headliners for the mega tour “Carnival Of Madness” (Touring with Mega Bands: Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, and Adelitas Way), while also having toured with perhaps the biggest hard rock band in the world, Motley Crue..

Matt The Producer also interviewed 2 of the hottest bands out there, and here are his summaries and interviews as well:

4) Rick Dejesus (Adelitas Way):  I also got a chance to catch up back stage with up-and-coming Vegas rockers Adelitas Way. With only two albums under their belts, they’ve had songs featured on CSI: Miami and WWE Raw/Smackdown. Their current record, Home School Valedictorian, is their major label debut on Virgin Records. The first single, “Sick”, hit #1 on US Rock Radio. The guys just finished a June mini-tour on with they opened for a little band you may remember from Uproar Festival – Seether. Post-CoM, the band will be tearing up The Strip in their hometown of Las Vegas as part of the 48-Hours Festival. Check out my interview with lead singer Rick DeJesus! CRANK IT UP!

5)Ben Wells/John Fred Young (Black Stone Cherry): The train kept a rollin’ on September 1st right into another huge rock festival, the Carnival of Madness. I got to sit down with Ben Wells (lead guitar) and John Fred Young (drums) of Black Stone Cherry. I met these guys back in ’06 after they opened for Buckcherry in my hometown. Such awesome dudes! And they know how to play some seriously heavy rock ‘n’ roll. All three of their albums have been Billboard Top 100, with 7 singles reaching Billboard Top 30. Their last two albums each hit #1 in the UK. Their latest record, Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea, is out now on Roadrunner Records. It was great catching up with these guys again, check it out!
