Jim Brickman is the top selling solo pianist of all time, having used his amazing songwriting and playing ability to become the most charted male Adult Contemporary artist to date, with six of his albums receiving Gold and Platinum status and single-handedly revolutionizing the genre taking it mainstream and collaborating with some of the top musical artists in the world. He is known for his solo piano compositions, pop-style instrumentals, and vocal collaborations with artists such as Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Kenny Loggins, Michael W. Smith, Carly Simon, Herb Alpert, Collin Raye, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond, and Olivia Newton-John, and others, and has had 30 charted adult radio hits, making him number 1 all time. If that wasn’t enough already, he earned a Grammy nomination in 2003, SESAC “Songwriter of the Year” award, Canadian Country Music Award for “Best Vocal/ Instrumental Collaboration”, and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association. His CD entitled Faith was nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album. Brickman’s best-known compositions include the chart-toppers “Valentine,” “The Gift,” “Love of My Life,” “Simple Things” and “Peace”, making him a musical icon unlike any other (One of my friends called him “The Kenny G of the piano”), and he has also been a strong supporter of PBS, starring in four TV concert specials: Beautiful World (2009), Jim Brickman Live from Disney’s Magic Kingdom (2005), My Romance—An Evening with Jim Brickman (2000) and Love Songs and Lullabies (2002), while also hosting a popular weekly radio show, “Your Weekend“, writing two best-selling books, Simple Things and Love Notes; debuts at Carnegie Hall and the White House; and international touring from Spain to Thailand.  He also lends a hand to many charitable foundations for children, including Autism Speaks, UNICEF and Camp Heartland. A scholarship was recently established in his name at the Cleveland Institute of Music. .  It’s safe to say that there are few people as talented and as unique as Jim Brickman!!
