They are two of the biggest names in music over the last several years, one having signed with the label of the most powerful artist in Hip Hop right now (Lil’ Wayne’s Cash Money Records), and releasing a multi-platinum album  and song that sold 6 million albums worldwide and was a Billboard 100 #1 song in “Down” (Arguably the song of 2009) making him the first solo artist of South Asian origin and first UK urban act to top the Hot 100 ever (He is one of the greatest Atlantic crossover artists in Pop history), and the other taking the world by storm with her debut album which sold 4 million copies worldwide (Her second album sold another 3 million with the hit “Too Little Too Late” ending up at #3 on the charts and marking the fastest rise for any single ever on the charts outdoing even the iconic Mariah Carey), and her hit “Leave”, made her the youngest artist in music history to ever score a number 1 hit, and also made her the youngest artist in history to be nominated for both an MTV and Billboard Best New Artist Award, and she just soured to Pop super stardom from there.  Kade Nation, enjoy as “The King Of Kamelot” sits down for intimate interviews with 2 amazingly successful young Multi-Platinum artists in Jay Sean and JoJo who are both co-headlining a sold-out tour with Joe Jonas (Met him backstage as well and have to say that he was a super down to Earth and nice guy although because of the demands of sound check and scheduling couldn’t sit down for an interview as well).  The crowd outside the venue was ridiculous and when JoJo got out of her Van, she was attacked by 20 girls who wanted pictures and went nuts when she did them so it was Kade Style to sit down and chat with the both of them…

Jay Sean:

He is one of the hottest artists in the world, having built a worldwide following for 7 years in the UK where he had 2 top 10 singles and an album “Me Against Myself” which sold 2 million copies before he even became big here (He was called “The U.K.’s version to Ne-Yo”, and got him nominated for multiple MoBo’s, which are the British Grammys including for best male artist), and then his follow-up UK album skyrocketed to #6 which caught the eye of Lil’ Wayne, and Cash Money Records who signed him in 2008 (He’s the first British/Asian Artist to sign with an American label), and from there he just brought his unique sound to the US and released “Down” featuring Lil’ Wayne and it was the seventh-best selling song of 2009, having sold more than three million copies in the United States that year, eventually reaching four million sales in the United Statesand six million sales worldwide, making him the most successful British/European male urban artist in US chart history. It was soon followed by another hit, “Do You Remember” with Sean Paul (Love this song!!), which has sold more than a million copies in the US, and entered the top ten on the Hot 100,making him the first male act since Chingy in 2003 to “simultaneously appear in the Hot 100 top 10 with his first two charting singles”.  He is now out with a mixtape called “The Mistress” (Came Out Yesterday!) that has opened to ridiculous reviews and sales, and is available for free on Jay Sean’s Official Site (Linked Here) so make sure to get it because he is one of the most talented singers/songwriters/performers out there!! On a personal note, Jay Sean was a ridiculously cool dude, super laid back and humble, and unbelievable sense of humor (As you will see in the interview below), and one of the good guys in the Hip Hop game..Great interview with a great dude, so enjoy!!

JoJo:

Few artists in music have ever come out with as much of a bang as JoJo, releasing her self-titled Multi-Platinum debut album with one of the songs of the year in “Leave”, which made her the youngest artist in music history to ever score a number 1 single, and putting her at the forefront of Pop music by garnering her a MTV Best New Artist Nomination as well as a Billboard Best New Artist Nomination (The youngest artist in history to ever achieve both), which led to the release of her next multi-platinum album, ‘The High Road”, which followed up with another chart topping single in “Too Little Too Late”, and that helped solidify her as one of the fastest rising stars in music commercially.  Now after a 5 year layoff, she has signed with the biggest and most powerful label in the world, InterScope Records (Gaga, U2, Eminem, Dre, Blink 182, etc..), to release her third studio album which is gonna be sick (I talked to her for a while today about it, and she wrote the songs and it will really show a different “adult” voice from her past music and the journey she has gone through from being a mega child Pop Star to now Young Grown Up Woman Mainstream artist..Her debut single off the album “Disaster” is out now (Linked here!), and I have to tell you that I loved it so much that I already bought it for my Ipod.  She was such a cool and beautiful girl in real life, super humble, intelligent, and awesome, and she is about to resume her spot at the top of the charts with the new album, and I couldn’t be more excited for her as she tours with two other stars in Jay Sean and Joe Jonas…
