There are artists that aren’t just legends, but that are icons that have shaped a generation, influenced/created a genre of new artists/music that dominate today’s scene, and are the George Washington style pioneers of what we see today in every musical artist/act out there.  For the Male Pop singer, artists like Usher, Justin Bieber, and Ne-Yo exist because of Michael Jackson.  For the female Pop Star, artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce’, and Britney Spears exist because there was Madonna.  For the “Ensemble Group”, there is only one name that is responsible for the careers of artists like Justin Timberlake, Nick Lachey, The BackStreet Boys and sooo many more, and that name is New Kids On The Block (They sold 70 million albums worldwide, and considering the days before the Internet, ITunes, and Social Media, this number is beyond staggering), and the face of the first and greatest “Boy Band” of all time is Jordan Knight.

Jordan was not only the face and biggest heartthrob of the most well known group in the world through the 80’s and 90’s (They still sell out shows in 5 minutes or less, and have a larger and more loyal following then almost any act in the world), he was/is truly considered one of the world’s biggest sex symbols (One of the female Entourage tweeted “OMG, I was in love with him growing up!!”), and if you put a list together of faces that have made more teenage girls cry from joy around the world, he is at the top of the list (Even at 41, I told him while hanging out with him last night, ‘Dude, you look amazing!” and he is one of the most chill, down to Earth, humble, and cool guys you can ever imagine meeting).  I hung out with him and his team in his Green Room before a private intimate concert in NYC to promote his new solo album (Capacity at the event at The Canal Room is 299, and there were at least 2,000 girls waiting outside!!), “Unfinished” and he was super accommodating and we were laughing and cracking jokes the whole time, and you would never know that he is a man worshipped by millions of women.  Perez Hilton said it perfectly when he saw him perform, “And when Jordan Knight performed, we were fighting over the binoculars… WOWZERS”, but after a five year hiatus, he is back with a solo album which is getting GREAT reviews because of it’s more adult  sexy sound and dance vibes, and a sold out tour with NKOTB joining The BackStreet Boys which is crazy!

HERE IS HIS PRIVATE SIT DOWN WITH “THE KING OF KAMELOT” TO TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING INCLUDING: THE NEW ALBUM AND IT’S FIRST SINGLE “LET’S GO HIGHER”, THE TRANSITION FROM BOY BAND STAR TO RESPECTED MALE ARTIST, HIS BATTLE WITH ALCOHOLISM, WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE WANTED BY MILLIONS OF WOMEN, AND WHAT THIS ALBUM MEANS TO HIM. KILLER INTERVIEW WITH ONE OF THE BIGGEST MUSIC STARS OF ALL TIME!!!

Here is Jordan Knight earlier that morning on The Today Show promoting “Unfinished” before he met with “The King Of Kamelot”

I also got to interview Jordan’s Label Mate, and International Pop Star, Kat DeLuna, who is also in the process of releasing her sophomore album called “ViVa”.  She had the Summer Anthem of 2007 with the song “Whine Up”, and became an International Pop Sensation in 2007 she won “Best New Artist” at the Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2007 awards. In 2008 she won “Best New Artist” and “Best Urban Artist” at the TMF Awards, which took place in Belgium. DeLuna’s debut single, “Whine Up”, won the award for “Latin Dance Club Play Track Of The Year” at the 2008 Latin Billboard Music Awards. She also won a Casandra Award in 2008 for “Best International Artist”.  She has recently collaborated with some of the biggest stars in music like Akon and Lil’ Wayne and even had controversy earlier this year when J-LO was accused of ripping off her 2010 hit “Party O’ Clock” when she recorded “On The Floor”, which Kat handled super gracefully talking about how artists like J-Lo paved the way for her, and how amazing it is for an artist of J-Lo’s  caliber to have potentially been inspired by her.  Kat is on top right now because her new single “Dancing Tonight” debuted as the #1 Breakout on the Billboard Dance Chart. The video for the song premiered on March 23.

On a personal note, I freakin LOVED this girl!! She is a Sparkplug with a TV Ready personality, beautiful in real life, and just plain old cool as shit!! She was a fun and exciting interview, and where I sometimes have to pull teeth to get answers from my guests, I could have talked to her for an hour!!  Her new album is gonna be a HUGE hit, and I wish her the best!! Awesome personality!!  Check us out talking about pretty much everything possible!!:
