J.B. Smoove is the star of two of television’s funniest and most popular shows right now, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (Possibly my favorite show on TV because I LOVE Larry David!!) where he plays the ultra hilarious Leon Black, and NBC’s newest hit comedy “Bent”, but for J.B., becoming one of the funniest comedic actors on television was not an overnight success.  In September of 1999, he moved to Los Angeles and landed a recurring role on MTVs The Lyricist Lounge Show, as well as featured guest spots on The Chris Rock Show and Premium Blend. In June 2000, he landed his first big feature film role narrating and starring in the now cult classic Pootie Tang with actor/comedian Chris Rock. In March 2001 he paired up with Adam Sandler to co-star in Mr. Deeds.  After an amazing yet short lived season as a cast member on Fox’s Cedric the Entertainer Presents, he moved back to New York City where he landed a writing position on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. In the standup and acting worlds, and during this evolving run, Smoove has been featured on Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd, Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza, SNL sketches, and a regular on Late Night with Conan O’ Brien.  He had a major role for seasons two and three on the Fox network sitcom ‘Til Death with Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher and in June 2008, he taped several episodes of The Gong Show with Dave Attell as one of the celebrity judges.  He is now on a completely sold out stand-up tour (He is playing a sold out show at Madison Square Garden this week!!), and has clearly become one of the most recognizable faces in comedy and television today!!

Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down with the hilarious star of two of his favorite shows, the one and only J.B. Smoove, to talk about his unique path to the top of the comedy world, what it’s like working on “Curb” with the brilliant Larry David, what his future career goals are, the feelings he has looking back on his unique journey, how to properly rock his Louis Vuitton sunglasses, and soo much more!!  J.B. is truly one of the funniest men on the planet, but it’s also refreshing because he is also one of the nicest guys to meet in person who understands how blessed he is to have achieved what he has…Enjoy Kade Nation!!

And here is J.B on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen On Bravo the night that I interviewed him picking up Shannon Elizabeth from “American Reunion”!
