Penn Jillette is a man of many tricks. He is one of the most famous magicians and illusionists in the world serving as 1/2 of the renowned tandem of Penn and Teller. He is a NY Times best-selling author with his really awesome book “God, No! Signs You May Already Be An Atheist And Other Magical Tales” having stayed on the list for 6 weeks (Now available in paperback), a Jeopardy champion, a talk show and TV host, a movie producer, an avid upright bassist, a “Celebrity Apprentice”, “Dancing With The Stars”, and truly one of the most unique and brilliant human beings that you can ever meet! Penn and Teller has become one of America’s favorite and most well known shows, and with Penn’s outspoken and fun views on culture, religion, politics, and society, as well as an incredible personality built for TV and Radio, he has crossed over from just well known performer to mainstream celebrity having hosted and appeared on countless TV and Radio programs, including CNN’s “Starting Point” (the day after this interview), NBC’s “Identity”, Showtime’s “Bullshit”, and many many more, and all this while playing to sold out crowds at the Rio Las Vegas for years. Penn Jillette is a true “Renaissance Man”, and the only thing he doesn’t seem to have a taste or knowledge for is sports, but something tells me that if he did, he would probably be in the booth hosting Monday Night Football.
Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down with one of the most remarkable people on the planet, Penn Jillette, in NYC to talk about his wonderful career as a magician and personality, starting out in the business and the moment he felt like he “Made It”, his book “God No!” and turning the Ten Commandments into the Penn Commandments, his “Super Bowl” moment, the Presidential Candidate he endorses, why and when he decided to become a magician, what celebrity he met that left him star struck, what “Celebrity Apprentice” is really like, and sooo much more! Penn has been one of my favorites for years because of his intelligence and creative ability to convey his thoughts and ideas on the public stage, and he was one of the most genuine, intelligent, and fun people that you will ever meet. Thanks to to Andi and Emer for all their help setting this super fun interview up! Enjoy Kade Nation!!
And here he is on CNN’s Starting Point With Soledad O’Brien right after our interview!
