They are arguably the most prolific and successful band of the last 12 years, having sold tens of millions of records, being nominated for 8 Grammys and winning 3, including the 2011 Grammy for “Best Pop Performance By A Group/Duo” for “Hey..Soul Sister (Called by many publications “The Song of the Decade” being the most downloaded iTunes song of 2010, the best selling single in Columbia Records history, and has been certified RIAA quintuple platinum), being nominated and winning various American Music Awards, Billboard Awards (They just won Top Rock Song and Top Rock Artist), CMT Awards, etc.., and creating some of the biggest mainstream hits starting with Meet Virginia, and moving onto Drops Of Jupiter (Which won 2 Grammys), Calling All Angels, If It’s Love, Marry Me, and Hey.. Soul Sister!! They are closing in on the end of an incredible sold out 3 year tour around the world (Touring with acts like Maroon 5 and Gavin DeGraw), and just a few weeks ago performed on the Today Show, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and Cee Lo’s “Talking To Strangers”…They are the biggest and most commercially viable band in the country, possibly the world, right now, so this was truly unreal for me!!
Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down EXCLUSIVELY (No one else got a video interview with them!) with the face of the band, it’s lead singer, Pat Monahan (Who was one of the most down to Earth and cool dudes you will EVER meet, because I was backstage at his trailer the whole time, and the way he treated his fans that were brought back for the Meet and Greet taking pics and talking with each one was just so gracious and awesome and then our interview was so humble and amazing!), and we discuss the AMAZING success that the band has enjoyed from winning Grammys to selling out stadiums, what we can expect from the new album they’re working on (He talks about a song that they wrote that he says, ‘This could be a career song for Train”), how he looks at the creation of a new album, who some of the most brilliant artists he’s encountered are, what the greatest moment of his career has been (It surprised me because I was expecting his first Grammy win), how the band stays so humble and fan friendly, and two of the greatest/most spontaneous moments in Kade Nation interview history with one taking place at the very beginning of the video before I introduce him, and the second with how he closes the video with me saying “Kade Out”!! This was a definite pinch me moment for me Pat!! Thank you so much to Kurt at MusikFest (Your help this week was beyond words), and Tom the tour manager who put this together for me (What an awesome dude with great stories!!)
Here is another interview with a Music Icon/Powerhouse, Ed Kowalczyk, who was formerly the front man for one of the most popular bands of the 1990’s into the mid 2000’s, LIVE, which sold over 20 million albums, with their album “Throwing Copper” selling 8 million alone with some of the biggest rock hits of the last 2 decades like Lightning Crashes (One of my top 10 favorite songs ever, which I get him to sing my favorite part from during our interview!!) All Over You, Selling The Drama, and I Alone, followed by several other albums that all achieved Billboard Top 100 status, and solidified LIVE as one of the biggest bands in music. They performed on Saturday Night Live, and every other mainstream show out there, and were one of the biggest artists in the world for so many years, but now Ed has closed that chapter in his life, and has moved on to a solo career, releasing his new album, “Alive” (It’s so great, and his voice is still exactly the way it was even in 1994, and hearing him sing live and how into the performance and music he is makes you really appreciate him that much more as an artist), and touring around the world. We spent a ton of time in his dressing room talking about the success of the album and the tour, and stepping away from a mega band like LIVE, and going solo..He was such a great dude, and such a fun interview, and actually sang despite having just performed a concert for a sold out venue!! A HUGE thank you to his manager Chris for setting this up for us, and it was a thrill to interview the face of one of my favorite bands, and he was just awesome!!
Here, Matt The Producer sits down for an exclusive intimate interview with one of the hottest young bands to come out of Canada (They were just nominated for a 2009 Canadian Radio Music Award in the category of “Best New Group”) and have built an extensive International following while touring with Mega Bands Tool, Metallica, and Deftones. They announced that they signed with major label, Reprise Records owned by Disturbed members David Draiman and Dan Donegan, and will be touring on Rockstar’s 2011 Uproar Festival with Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace and Seether, among others. They are quickly blowing up, and one of the hot young bands to watch. Matt The Producer also got a chance to hang and chill backstage with Fuel during and after their concert, and he had some awesome conversations with a couple members about their new tour, their new album that they’re working on, and they were super pumped to sit down with us when the tour comes back around, and actually looked at our interviews and thought it was the coolest thing..Gotta love Matt’s life!! Here he sits down with Art Of Dying to talk about their new album, touring, and what to expect next!!
