Alex Karpovsky has become a household name as one of the stars of HBO’s critically acclaimed award winning hit show “Girls”, playing the unique personality Ray Ploshansky, the boyfriend of Zosia Mamet’s nervous naif Shoshanna as well as playing Lena Dunham’s love interest in her breakout film Tiny Furniture. What most people may not know though, is that he is also a talented writer and director bring dubbed the “Male Lena Dunham”.   The actor has two movies debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival that he co-wrote, directed and starred in, Rubberneck and Red Flag. In Rubberneck, he plays a technician working in a laboratory who becomes infatuated with a co-worker. His unreciprocated advances become increasingly delusional and dangerous.  In Red Flag, he plays “Alex Karpovsky” (How great is that?), an Indie Triple Threat (Actor, Director, and Writer) traveling the country promoting his new movie.

Here “The King Of Kamelot” catches up with the ultra talented Alex Karpovsky at the debut of Red Flag at Sunshine Theatres in NYC to talk about his newest release, being a star on one of television’s most talked about shows, how being Russian plays into his projects, and soo much more!  I was also able to catch up with 3o Rock’s Judah Friedlander, MTV’s Lenay Dunn, Smash’s Krysta Rodriguez and more!  Enjoy Kade Nation!
