You may have seen Dan Bucatinsky’s face in many of TV’s most popular shows, currently in ABC’s Scandal, but also Curb Your Enthusiasm, Weeds, Friends, NYPD Blue, That ’80s Show, Frasier, and Will & Grace.  He executive produced and acted in the 2005 HBO series The Comeback along with his producing partner, actress Lisa Kudrow (They were nominated for an Emmy), and their Web Series turned TV Series “Web Therapy”, one of my faves, is about to enter it’s second season on Showtime (directed by his husband Don Roos) and features cameos with some of the industry’s biggest names including Bob Balaban, Courteney Cox, Selma Blair, Tim Bagley, Julie Clair, Alan Cumming, Rashida Jones, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Michael McDonald, Molly Shannon and Steven Weber and this season the incomparable Meryl Streep!  If that wasn’t enough he is perhaps best known for writing and starring in the indie gay romantic comedy All Over the Guy and since 2003 he and partner Lisa Kudrow have been running Is or Isn’t Entertainment, and they are now in production for the third season of the acclaimed docu-series Who Do You Think You Are?  As a writer/producer he co-executive-produced the NBC dramedy Lipstick Jungle as well.  But his latest venture, may be his most daring, the release of his autobiographical book “Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight?” which is a hilarious and incredible look into the lives of two men raising children and balancing their Hollywood careers. Here’s the story to tease you, but I would HIGHLY recommend getting the book because it will make you laugh out loud relentlessly!

“In 2005, Dan Bucatinsky and his partner, Don Roos, found themselves in an L.A. delivery room, decked out in disposable scrubs from shower cap to booties, to welcome their adopted baby girl—launching their frantic yet memorable adventures into fatherhood. Two and a half years later, the same birth mother—a heroically generous, pack-a-day teen with a passion for Bridezilla marathons and Mountain Dew—delivered a son into the couple’s arms. In Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight? Bucatinsky moves deftly from sidesplitting stories about where kids put their fingers to the realization that his athletic son might just grow up to be straight and finally to a reflection on losing his own father just as he’s becoming one. Bucatinsky’s soul-baring and honest stories tap into that all-encompassing, and very human, hunger to be a parent—and the life-changing and often ridiculous road to getting there”

Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down with the brilliant and hilarious Dan Bucatinsky in NYC to talk about his wonderful career in ShowBiz, what inspired to write this hilarious memoir, his unique relationship with the wonderful Lisa Kudrow, how he got half of Hollywood to blurb the book, what it has been like raising his children and some of the journey’s funniest moments, working on ABC’s hit show Scandal, his upcoming projects, and sooo much more!!  It is easy to understand upon meeting and speaking with Dan why he has had the success that he has, and this book is great reflection of a brilliant comedic mind with a sensibility that will make you feel like you are in the room with him when these experiences are happening.  Enjoy Kade Nation!!
