This is such a heart warming story, one that landed on the cover of USA Today last month, because in an age where we see athletes holding on too long, or having trouble with finding their footing after their career is over, it is amazing to see the path that Ben Utecht has taken.  One year removed from retiring from the NFL due to concussion issues, Ben has found himself pursuing and finding tremendous success with his first love, music, and has recently transitioned from catching touchdowns from one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in Peyton Manning, and winning Super Bowls, to becoming an emerging classical singer on tour with the top selling pianist, and top charting adult contemporary artist of all time, the iconic Grammy Nominated Jim Brickman (Kade Nation will remember I interviewed Jim a few months ago, but in case you don’t here it is).  It’s such a great story!

Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down with Super Bowl Champion Ben Utecht to talk about his unique story, what it has been like touring with one of the most respected, iconic, and top selling artists in the world, the reaction that he gets when he comes on stage (Ben is a monster and still looks like he could be playing Football!), how he met Jim Brickman and began the next step of his life’s journey, and I even steal his Super Bowl ring and wear it for a little (There’s not many times that a person will get to do that in their lifetime and I thought about keeping it, but something tells me I wouldn’t have made it too far without getting decapitated), and sooo much more!  In an age where all we see on the TV is bad news and sad stories, it’s so amazing to see someone like Ben Utecht taking a rough ending to his Football career and turning into such a positive path.  Enjoy Kade Nation!
