Brooks and Dunn is Country Music Royalty, becoming the most accomplished duo in the genre’s history. They sold over 30 million albums, received over 50 Major Music Awards including 2 Grammys, 17 CMA Awards, and 15 Academy Of Country Music Awards, released fifty singles, of which twenty went to number one on the Hot Country Songs charts and nineteen more reached top ten, and truly helped redefine the direction of Country Music for two decades. In 2009, the legendary duo decided it was time for a change, and both became solo artists, and now Ronnie Dunn has released his first album which has already produced 3 Billboard charting hits, and hit #1 on the Billboard Country Charts (#5 Overall!), and with the exclusive partnership for a “Special Edition” version of the album which he has just released with Cracker Barrel with a percentage of the proceeds going to the wonderful “Wounded Warrior Project”, it looks like Ronnie is going to do just fine on his own.
Here “The King Of Kamleot” sits down with one of the great voices and most accomplished artists in Country Music history, Ronnie Dunn, while he is in NYC on a mega media blitz for the new album in between appearances that day on ABC News, CBS This Morning, SiriusXM Radio, and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and we talk about the reinvention of himself as a solo artist, what it has been like transitioning from one of Country music’s greatest acts to in his words “Starting Over”, what artist he would most dream of collaborating with, what his most memorable moments as an artist have been, becoming a grandfather, and sooo much more!! Not only was it an honor to sit and chat with Ronnie, but despite all of the accomplishments and place in Country Music history, he is incredibly humble, down to Earth, and couldn’t have been more appreciative of his success and experiences. An enormous thank you to Ebie and her wonderful PR team who couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating! Enjoy Kade Nation!
