ABC’s “Shark Tank” has become one of television’s most popular and innovative shows, but before becoming one of it’s main stars, Barbara Corcoran was one of the country’s great Real Estate entrepreneurs and visionary business leaders.   Barbara Corcoran’s credentials include straight D’s in high school and college and twenty jobs by the time she turned twenty-three.  It was her next job that would make her one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country when she took a $1000 loan to start The Corcoran Group.  She parlayed that loan into a five-billion-dollar real estate business which she sold in 2001 for $66 million.

Barbara is the real estate contributor to NBC’s TODAY Show where she comments weekly on trends in the real estate market. Barbara is also an investor/shark on ABC’s reality hit Shark Tank, now in its third season. Barbara bought 11 new businesses on the show which she’s now shepherding to success.  Barbara is also the author of three books including her most recent, Shark Tales, detailing her inspiring true story and her best advice for anyone starting a business.

Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down with the ultra popular star of ABC’s “Shark Tank”, and Real Estate Mogul Barbara Corcoran in NYC to talk about her remarkable rise to the top, the experience of being one of the stars of one of television’s most popular shows, her biggest regret, her greatest accomplishment, how everyone pitches her ideas when she goes out, and what lies ahead for the ultra dynamic and inspirational leader.  On a personal note,  I have to share that in the hundreds of private interviews that I have conducted, Barbara is one of the kindest, most sincere, and truly wonderful people that I have had the privilege of chatting with.  Her personality and humor are electric, and she is a person that should be truly admired not only for her sensational business accomplishments, but for her sense of humanity, humility, and graciousness.  It was an honor.
