When you think of Reality Shows, there was not one bigger then “The Hills” in it’s prime.  Every teenager with a pulse would be in front of their TV watching the lives of the beautiful young people making their way through life in Southern California, and live vicariously through them. Whitney Port was one of it’s beautiful stars, and because of her career ambitions of becoming a fashion designer and overall popularity, she was able to spin herself into her own show called “The City” which detailed her life as an aspiring fashion mogul in NYC working for Teen Vogue, people’s Revolution, and the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg, but where many of today’s reality stars become lost in their own fame and lose perspective, Whitney was able to use this incredible popularity and platform to turn herself into one of today’s leading fashion voices.  Her line “Whitney Eve” has shown at the pinnacle of the fashion world, NY Fashion Week, and now she has her new line that she has released called “WE by Whitney Eve”, which will be exclusively carried at the ultra hot Apricot Lane Boutiques across the country, penned the book True Whit (Harper Collins), which is a go-to- guide for young women that gives advice on everything from rearranging your closet to decorating, makeup, cooking, dating and fashion tips, and she has become a fixture in the fashion scene appearing in magazines like Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, and Seventeen.  She is also now a judge on Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model alongside supermodel host Elle Macpherson, Julien Macdonald, and new judge Tyson Beckford, so it looks like there is no stopping Whitney from marching her way to the top of the fashion world!

Here “The King Of Kamelot” sits down for a private chat with former Reality Star turned Budding Fashion Mogul Whitney Port at her launch party for WE By Whitney Eve at Apricot Lane Boutique to talk about what it was like transitioning from reality darling to rising fashion name, how she has been able to stay so grounded and driven in an environment that doesn’t nurture it, what her type of guy is, working as a judge on Britain’s Next Top Model, her long term career aspirations, and sooo much more!  If to say that outside of being stunningly beautiful in real life, Whitney is the most Down To Earth, sweet, charming, and driven young woman you can hope to meet, and it is easy to not only see why she is enjoying the level of success that she is, but she is a shining example for everyone in Reality TV of how to use the platform to do good and go after your dreams!  A HUGE Thank You to Stacey Graham for her help with putting this together for me (Exclusive WE pieces can be purchased online for those not in the area at www.ApricotLaneUsa.com), and for everyone at Apricot Lane today who was so wonderful when we were there!  Enjoy Kade Nation!!
