Tate Stevens is proof that any dream is possible.  When he was announced as the winner of Season 2 of FOX’s hit show “The X-Factor”, thus gaining an automatic record deal and 5 Million dollars, Tate was quickly on his way to music super stardom. With his self titled debut record coming out on April 23rd, from which he released his debut song “Holler If You’re With Me” in a commercial produced by Pepsi, which aired during the 2013 Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013, this year is shaping up to be a surreal one for Tate.

Tate Stevens heralds from the Heartland and considers himself a true country artist with a diverse style within the country genre. “I always throw in a little bit of my traditional country roots along with a country and rock edge to it,” Stevens says. He knows how to connect with people by infusing his music with emotion and the gritty soul of his roots. Through music, I can take people to where I’m from. They can be a part of it.

While Stevens admits to knowing over 1,200 country songs he says that if he were to make a record today, it would be modern country with a little bit of a traditional feel – a great combination of the high energy rockin’ songs and some killer ballads. You know the kind that rip your heart out. Stevens packs a lifetime of musical experience into each performance. The Missouri native was drawn to the stage as a young child; performing with his father when he was only four years old. “I just wanted to be like my dad,” he laughs. A few years later, after teaching himself to play acoustic guitar, he discovered his real passion for performing. “I knew I wanted to be out front. I knew I wanted to sing.”

After high school, he hit the road with his award-winning band, the Dixie Cadillacs, opening for many of today¹s hottest country stars including Brooks and Dunn, Dwight Yoakam and Patty Loveless. In 2008, he formed the Tate Stevens Band, and spent weekends touring the Midwest. Every time he takes the stage, the country crooner sings straight from the heart. Wherever the future takes him, Stevens knows one thing’s for certain: good conversation, guitars and love will always be along for the ride.
