NCIS is one of the most watched, and most successful shows of the last decade, and one of my favorites! In 2011, NCIS was voted America’s favorite television show, and one of it’s most unique and fun characters is “Jimmy Palmer”, played by the incredible Brian Dietzen. Having started with the show in 2004, “Jimmy Franks” has transformed from shy medical assistant (He is the assistant to Donald “Ducky” Mallard) to the guy who finally nabs the girls and in the process has become one of the series’ favorite characters to follow. Last season, NCIS’ season finale was such an incredible cliff hanger that no one is sure who lives and who dies (Ducky has a heart attack, but alas good news has been released with “Jimmy Palmer” being promoted to full time status, and Brian Dietzen can finally call himself a “Series Regular with his name at the front of the credits of one of Television’s true powerhouse brands”.
Here “The King Of Kamelot” chats with the incredible Brian Dietzen via Spreecast from LA, to talk about being part of one of television’s most popular shows, playing the once super shy turned married man Jimmy Palmer, the incredible season finale of NCIS and what to expect in the new season, whether or not he worries about being typecast, the independent movie called “Congratulations” that he has written and produced, growing up in Colorado/Chicago and loving theater, and sooo much more!! I LOVE NCIS so it was great to be able to talk to the star behind one of my favorite characters. Enjoy Kade Nation!!
